Meet the Team

Meet the Team

Our conference is run by a dedicated team consisting mostly of volunteers. This page outlines the folks who are helping get things done, and what their roles are.

Folks

Swapnil Ogale

Swapnil initiated Write the Docs in Australia in 2016. He is fortunate enough to live in one of the world’s most liveable cities - Melbourne, Australia. While he is not travelling, trying out new food or building a mini library by visiting bookshops and fairs, he works as a technical writer at Amazon Web Services Australia.

Michalina Ziemba

Michalina has over eight years of experience working with medium to large software companies and currently leads an Information Experience team at Atlassian. She firmly believes that great customer experiences can’t be delivered without well-directed, engaged teams, so she spends most of her time making sure her team is healthy, happy, and efficient.

Alexandra Perkins

Alexandra currently works on technical support and technical documentation for FastMail. She cares a great deal about blending good technical documentation with good user interface design. She has studied anthropology in university and focused on online communication between people from different language backgrounds. In her spare time she likes to write stories and learn languages. She also loves to sing, though she is extremely bad at it.

Samuel Wright

Sam has been organizing Write the Docs conferences for even more than a few years now. He lives in Berlin unless he’s off to a conference or death metal festival somewhere. Sam works at EngFlow, and is into making computers do the boring bits of writing docs so he can work on the fun bits.

Linette Voller

Linette Voller is a content design manager at Atlassian. She spends her days enabling people do the best work of their lives and explores how to communicate ideas, knowledge, and process. A WIICTA national award winner she has over 16 years international experience across government and the private sector; small business to Fortune 500. Doodling and improvisation light up her heart. With communication as a key skill, Linette still shudders at writing bios and is thankful that you took the time to read this.
