Meet the Team

Meet the Team

Our conference is run by a dedicated team consisting mostly of volunteers. This page outlines the folks who are helping get things done, and what their roles are.

Folks

Swapnil Ogale

Swapnil initiated Write the Docs in Australia in 2016. He is fortunate enough to live in one of the world’s most liveable cities - Melbourne, Australia. While he is not travelling, trying out new food or building a mini library by visiting bookshops and fairs, he works as a technical writer at Amazon Web Services Australia.

Rajakavitha Kodhandapani

Rajie is a contract technical writer at Linode. In both writing and development, she is passionate about Linux, OpenSource projects, Accessibility, and Kubernetes. When she is not writing or hosting a Write the Docs meet-up in India, she is gardening or up-cycling old furniture.

Samuel Wright

Sam has been organizing Write the Docs conferences for even more than a few years now. He lives in Berlin unless he’s off to a conference or death metal festival somewhere. Sam works at EngFlow, and is into making computers do the boring bits of writing docs so he can work on the fun bits.

Linette Voller

Linette Voller is a content design manager at Atlassian. She spends her days enabling people do the best work of their lives and explores how to communicate ideas, knowledge, and process. A WIICTA national award winner she has over 16 years international experience across government and the private sector; small business to Fortune 500. Doodling and improvisation light up her heart. With communication as a key skill, Linette still shudders at writing bios and is thankful that you took the time to read this.

Jared Morgan

Jared has been a Technical Writer for about 17 years now. When he’s not helping organisations plan and deliver documentation as a product, he co-hosts the Write the Docs and BlahCade Pinball Podcasts, and restores pinball machines to their former glory.

Gaurav Nelson

Gaurav is a technical writer who transitioned from working as a software developer. He has been writing software documentation for over fourteen years now. He is an open-source believer and often shares his expertise by creating software tools for writers, articles, blog posts, and presentations.

Sarah Maddox

Sarah is a technical writer at Google. Seven years ago, Sarah joined Google to write the docs for the Google Maps APIs. Since then she’s worked on various products, including cloud, machine learning, and now internal engineering docs. When not writing, Sarah loves to walk in the Australian bush, talking to the birds and musing about mushrooms.

Tali Samoylenko

Tali is a Content Designer at Australia Post where she loves collaborating with her colleagues to create great experiences for users (especially from a language perspective). She’s based in Melbourne but ventures out into nature whenever the weather permits and she has the time. She also loves photography, writing poems and hanging out with her loved ones.
