CFP update and grant program reminder

CFP update and grant program reminder

The last few weeks have been pretty rough on those of us who are in the US. Knowing that, we have made the decision to extend our CFP deadline by a week in order to give you more time to get proposals in. We’d love to see some new voices in the program this year, and we hope that prerecorded talks and fewer timezone restrictions makes that possible.

CFP deadline extended to February 1st

Check out the Call for Proposals page for more details about what we are looking for. Especially if you’ve not been able to attend due to travel logistics, or if you’ve not spoken before we’d love to hear your voice. The virtual conference format means you can speak from anywhere, though it’s ideal if you can be online and present around your talk slot in Portland time, PST.

Submit your talk proposals by February 1st, If accepted, we’ll ask you to put together a 30 min talk video by the end of March. And if you already have an idea but you’re having a hard time getting your proposal to come together, you can always ask for feedback on the Write the Docs Slack. The community is there to help!

We’ll be reviewing all the talk proposals next month, and will be contacting everyone who submitted a proposal by February 15, 2021.

Grant program reminder

We updated our grant program application to take into account the virtual format of the event. We’re excited to be able to offer free tickets to a larger number of people this year, since there are now minimal other costs to attend the event.

You can apply by March 1, 2021 on our website.

Thanks to our sponsors
